Improving Children's Emotional health

by improving access to mental health support for children and youth.

by improving access to mental health support for children and youth.

EDUCATION

De-stigmatizing mental health in Caribbean communities by educating community members and leaders on providing emotional support through school curriculum, parenting, trauma and sexual abuse awareness training.

CONSULTATION

Working with grassroots organizations and other community members to identify and remove barriers to mental health support so children and youths can access emotional support.

TRAINING

Improving lives often happens at the local level, where individuals take action in their own community. To make this possible, we design, develop, and implement programs to ensure children not merely survive, but also thrive.

DISASTER RELIEF

Restoring children’s emotional health in disaster zones after the first responders and media have left and it is no longer glamorous to be on the ground.

Inspire people to take action

to change our  communities

Our efforts alone are not enough to reduce mental health stigma in the Caribbean, but with community involvement we can make a difference in the lives of our children. We work to change the conversation around children’s mental health challenges by partnering with grassroots organizations, governments, community members, families, private, and public sectors.

WE KNOW

That Trauma caused by childhood neglect, sexual and domestic abuse wreaks Havoc on bodies and minds. Children are regarded as resilient; however, untreated trauma can lead to persistent emotional and mental distress.
